Tween Girls Room Makeover!

My big girl has turned 12 and it was time to finally update her room.  This will be the 3rd time we've decorated it.  First it was yellow and pink and green, then salmon and gray (my choice), and finally I decided to let go of the control (a bit!) and let her pick out what she wanted, which is actually more BLUE!  So one Sunday I started ripping her old room apart while cleaning it, and so began a 3 month long makeover!  The longest part was because Pottery Barn messed up my monogram order and then didn't ship it out until I called 4 different times! Better late than never!

I spray painted the mirror I found at Burlington Coat Factory.

I spray painted the sconces-- and the shades-- I got from Home Depot.

The quilt is Kelly Slater ruched trestle at Pottery Barn

The Euro Shams are Pottery Barn

The white bolster pillows were from Bed Bath and Beyond.

The ruffle throw pillow from Target.

I did a lot more projects to this room I'll have to share soon!

The best part was even though my daughter was worried at first about me changing her room again-- this time SHE LOVES IT!! success!
